We're back!! And after about 9 months of excruciating, tortuous separation and the world's most committed long distance facetime relationship, we're finally back home together and more ready than ever to get back to talking about our mutual love of all things fashion!!! And, funnily enough, this will be the first time we're not only blogging from the same continent but also about all the wonderful fashion-y things that hometown Melbourne has to offer!
It's been a crazy few weeks (we know...more like few months, our bad!) since we've been regularly updating you the happenings of our ongoing affair with clothes, boots and bags and of course, our must -have lipsticks and gemstones (while some girls might have friendship bracelets, we prefer matching massive turquoise statement cocktail rings - sums us up pretty well) But, we promise we'll be better!!
Now, we know and are genuinely obsessed with getting a cheeky glimpse at the glamorous lives of our favourite fashion bloggers and all their freebies, sneaking a peek at the front row, living vicariously through their plethora of ridiculous, jealousy-inducing insta-pics! We're guessing you're pretty jealous too - every instagram upload from The Blonde Salad or Song of Style and we're experiencing serious heart palpitations! And we know how impossible and far-fetched it seems to live like that! Soooooo, we're here to give you a look at fashion through a different lens...we've two uni students with absolutely no connections who just LOVE fashion and want to get greedy with it, so we're taking a bit of a back-door approach. Basically, we're just like you and trying our best to make it happen!

So, for this reason, we give you styleyes, a look at everything even remotely fashion-esque that we can get our eyes and hands on! For MSFW 2013, we headed to a super edgy, underground independent show by Fred Hates Fashion to see some of Melbourne's most creative up-and-coming (and more established) talent. We made it to MSFW Designer Series Runway 1 at the Town Hall where, somehow heaven-blessed, we landed ourselves in the ultra-exclusive front 2 rows (yes, in the CLEAR SEATS with the goodie-bags, trés VIP) for the opening of the festival. AND, we're not done...headed to Runway 2 on Wednesday night!
We'll give you an unashamedly giggly-girls guide - yes, while we try to dress chic-ly at all times, when we found out we were sitting in row B the other night, that was out the window and no amount of designer accessories could keep us from nearly losing it in the town hall foyer - to everything from behind the scenes, what's in the goodie bags, what's happening on the runways (pictures AND video, of course) and what we're wearing while we're gorging ourselves on fashion!!
Watch this space, posts up in the next few days!! Check our instagram @stcksandstnes for immediate updates on everything we're seeing...we've got some great shots already up from all the shows so far!!
Love Bella & Jess
xoxo
