"I got my red dress on tonight"

All Saints Black Silk Dress (Sorry about the lack of a full length pic)!

“Wear something black and short, its French though…..keep it classy”. These were my instructions after having asked what was required to get into Le Bain, a club on the top of The Standard Hotel.  If you’re looking for a fun night on the town in Manhattan look no further than the Meatpacking district.  Fitted with the most beautiful and stylish people of New York, this area isn’t for the fashion starved – this place is notorious for turning down people based on appearance.  Terrified about being rejected with my makeshift ID and lack of nightlife connections it was time to 'suit up'!

After following my instructions to a tee I successfully gained entry into Le Bain, it was time to see what all the hype was about.  Upon entering the club I was hit with a fully stocked bar with the infamous Manhattan skyline in the background. That’s right, the Empire State building is right there close enough to touch.  With Bob Dylan playing in the background you know this is going to be a great night (hehe that’s for you Ella).  To my right was a Jacuzzi in the middle of the dance floor.  People were stripping left right and centre, before jumping into the steaming water. Remembering my initial instructions “keep it classy” I remained fully clothed and opted for a seat on the rooftop, maybe next time guys!

The view of Manhattan is enough to make you feel like you are on top of the world.  With the added bonus of a crepe station being located up above, this club experience is parallel to none!

If Le Bain isn’t for you however, The Standard Hotel also plays host to the famous Boom Boom Room (location of Lady Gaga’s birthday party) and the more low key Biergarten located under the highline.  There is something for everyone at this night hotspot, making it number one on my list for must see places!
